Today I talked on Radio program in the morning.

I talked about Seto-Shigotojuku with Mr. Kogiso, the manager of this project.

This radio station is on the 1st floor in Parti Seto. The building is next to Meitetsu Owariseto station and I sometimes walk by. This is the first time to enter in.

We talked about Shigotojuku and message for people who want to start thier business.

I talked as I always tell. I want to help entrepreneur's judgement whether start or not after his/her preparation to find data to make a dicision.

I surprised her talk, her clear voice is respectable!

I hope to speak/talk with clear voice like her at my seminors.

I was glad yesterday.

I have been asked and giving advice to many people who want to start business. From 13PM to 21PM, many visitors came yesterday.

When I am asked by someone who think that he/she is trying to set up business seriously, I start to think together how to do and how to make it come true.

A week ago, I gave homework to one of entrepreneurs.

He is trying to start IT support business. If he only use his knouledge at that time, the limit would suddenly come. The same is true of me. Even if one promote on a large scale, customer couldn't come.

So I gave him "100 homework".

I said "Search and seek 100 tips about IT service." To do this homework, he cannot do only his output. It includes my message that continuous input is very important.

Of course I don't say like this if I am afraid that one think "It is stupid, boring, and useless!." I give a homework only to someone who seems to try and action if I say.

Then I was surprised to his quick action. He submitted his homework only a week.

Looking pver 100 tips, I was slitely moved.

I talked about my examples or results of his 100 tips in order, in honor of his performance. I have tried 60-70 of tips. Some words I don't know so I asked him to teach me.

He trusts me. He thought my homework is somehow useful on his setup business. Then he took a quick action. It is my glad!

The number "100" is good because of it expresses the thing that is not halfdone.

It is important that he seeks by CS viewpoint and he would start to seek.

The work is troublesome or difficult. But after he got over it, the resistance against some difficulty will decrease a little from next time.

If it changes 2 columns, rivals hesitate an entry the business. I sometimes tell.

For example, the website of company ordinary number of pages are 20-30. To change 2 columns, if one has 1,000 pages, it is not so easy to follow. It means "an entry barrier." (Of course meaningless pages which have only useless charactors are said to be "meaningless.") To make 1,000 pages requires a long preparation, knowledge input and information input. So it is valuable.

I reccomend this "100 homework" if want to start a new business or improve management. It extends your view widely.

I went to Kinjo Gakuin UNIV. as a lecturer of "Information Business Theory" yesterday.

Twice in a year, this time is 8th. It has passed 4 years since the first time.

The offerred theme was "enterpreneur support." So I talked about Sogyo Plaza Aichi & Seto Shigoto Juku.

Everytime I introduce one entrepreneur, this time Miss Okada who started a Financial Planning Office.

She talked about 5 types of spending money.

All of students filled in the sheet and we will receive the result and add up them.

I also talked about some example of using IT. Search, website, SNS etc.

At last my message for students. (Everytime I enjoy thinking what to tell.)

I talked about my "English." I started to learn English from elementary school age. Junior hischool, high school, far more University, I was not able to come to like English till the last.

But I started to work, the turning point came. It was when I was 24 years old. When I chatted on internet, I came to be familliar with someone in Argentine. The opposite side of the earth! To be surprised, he came Japan to meet me!! It was enough to make me interest in English. 3 years after, I tried to take an exam for work in foreign country. And passed it, I have been in Netherlands. Now I am trying my weblog translation form Japanese to English (like this).

I found that the education is useful even if I hate it!

Study at that time seemed to be useless. But it maybe useful someday.

So I can invest my time to study, action, etc.

I heard many students in university worried about their future and they doubt the porpose of study, job hunting. The way may come to clear when do yor best in front of you. The action is useful even if the result is not so good. First of all you try to absorb from your class in UNIV. And suddenly splendid future would come to you.

The seminor was held today in Homare High School (former Ozeki Gakuen High School).

The theme was "Contract and Law." 7 of our staff participated in the seminor. They spoke to the students, acted as player of short story.

The students who listened the seminor were about 300, from 1st grade to 3rd.

I recently have been thinking about my vocation or mission.

The difinition of "vocation" is below.

[vocation]- the feeling that the purpose of your life is to do a particular type of work, especially because it allows you to help other people (Longman)

I worked for a bank seven years, but it was not my vocation.

It was worth doing. There are customers who were pleased for my visiting.

On the other hand, a bank has a destiny that we have to collect finance if the comnpany can't pay the bill by the due date. If financial condition get worse, loan interest rate tends to rise. We have to tighten the company's neck.

Fortunately, I was not given work like that. So I saw few case that feels really horrible. Even if I didn't deal, it is necessary for the bank as a whole. I can't feel proud of my work. There are people who don't like a bank and financial institution.

Probably it is not my vocation.

The turning point is 2002. Next year I started my own business. 6 years has passed from independence.

My work now is business consulting, gyosei-shoshi, seminor etc. From 2008, "supporting business startups" has come to my main business. It is scheduled 3 times a week till March 2009. Add to this, a lot of short term seminor will be held.

I feel one thing about this work.

I have never think "I am unpleasant." or "It is troublesome." when I have been going my office. It is great! When in bank, I feel unpleasant when I stood at the station in the morning.

There is little burden and pain when I engage in this work.

I realize "This is my VOCATION!"

I have finally found my vocation since my thirtieth.

Today is a duty day of Sogyo Plaza (Aichi). I had been continuously asked by 10 people who want to start new business from 13:15 to 20:00.

Some client tell his/her hot business philosophy from all power, so I also talk and answer all my energy. And then after the end, I completely got exhosted.

However, on Friday, I will be pleasant on my way to office, and enjoy working. Then after 21:00, exhosting..

I feel honored that there are many people who are wainting for me.

And "THANKSs" after consultation are good nourishment for my heart and my health.

People got results after consultation and come and talk to me "I did it!"

It is far more pleasant!

Startup support business is my favorite work. As if I find my place in society.

Today I was in Setogura for Shigotojuku consultation.

When I went there as usual, there is a report on my desk. That is the brief report about Shigotojuku of 1st year

It was made by Pr. Kobayashi, Nagoya Gakuin Univ. Its contents is the position of Shigotojuku in the whole policy of Seto-shi and the summery of Shigotojuku 2008th. It reminds me various event; (i) Business plan presentation, (ii) Presentation seminor, (iii) An entrance ceremony and a graduation ceremony that our mayor was perticipated in.

The first year has passed quickly.

Students are now planning some events of this year. After graduation, they are trying to head up hometown. I look their action and I see them as being counted on.

I appriciate their curious connection or relationship, for example, some student ask us "Then, is HE all right now?", like a family.

The report, especially students' comments remind me the sight of consultation in Setogura.

All of them have been active!

The last of the report is the result of articles or interviews of TV etc.

It was 22 times that Shigotojuku or whose students featured.

It would be good pressure of them.

The recruit of 2nd year has already started.

I will have been waiting for students in Setogura just the same as last year, but I decided to prepare new tool of entrepreneur support. I want to use the other seminor, so it is my own tool. I expect the 2nd students would feel more achievement than 1st year. I will try so hard though the drafts are difficult to finish.

You maybe found the change from last year. From this fiscal year, my title changes. I was promoted from Assistant Principale of school to Principal of School

(I think my task would not change so much.)

Then, this article is so effective that people who are intersted in Shigotojuku called the officer from the morning. Great, Chunichi!

In addition, I was asked to be lecturer of the other seminor by the other organization.

I don't know it is whether this article's effect or not, but anyway I appreciate the offer.

TODAY'S WONDERFUL

-I have settled a lot of my work today (because I was not go out allday).

-I received an email from an artist in U.S. who came from Seto!

-After cooking dinner, the vegitable room of refrigerator turned empty!

I visited Seto-gura for purpose of interview from cable TV station about Shigoto-juku yesterday morning.

The interview was by Green City CATV. Each division of Seto City was featured.

Rightside on photo, Mr. Kogiso who is a captain of Shigoto-Juku had been talking about SetoCitys' new fiscal year actions.

After his interview, I and students talked about the philosophy and merit of Shigoto-Juku. I always feel it is difficutl to get my idea in shape.

This time we announced mainly recruitment of second year students.

Just from today, Seto City started open call.

I myself found there are a lot of people who make efforts to head up a hometown. So I have come to have attachment for the hometown than before. I will try to help heading up this year though my ability is limited.

Then, I am looking forward to see all of the 2nd year students, who have not yet seen, in Shigoto-Juku.

現在、高校のキャリア担当の先生向けに、キャリア教育に関するワークショップをしてほしいというご依頼を受けています。

もちろん「高校」が現場なので、高校生に対するキャリア教育をどのように展開するかというテーマとなります。と言っても、私は学校教育に関する知識は皆無です。でも、自分自身のキャリア形成に対する考え方などを出していただければよいということでした。それなら、ということでお受けすることにしました。

「キャリア教育」に関しては、現場からは反発の声もあるようです。それは分かる気がします。学校は学問を教えるところであって、仕事を教えるところではない。仕事について学ぶ場所は、なにも高校でなくても良いのではないか。

でも、高校生のうちに「もっと広く世の中を知る」ことは必要ですし、答えのない世界を少しでも多く知ってもらうことは、とても有益ではないかと考えています。特に、「人生」について真剣に向き合って考える場は、あった方が良いのではないかと思います。

そう思うのは自分の経験からですが、私が初めて自分の人生、キャリアと向き合ったのは28歳の時でした。およそ半年の間療養を余儀なくされて、その時に「今後30年、40年」の長期的な計画を練ったのです。

正直なところ、大学入学までは、受験以外の勉強などほとんどしていませんでした。読書もあまりせず、積極的な社会参加ということもありませんでした。就職活動をしていた頃も、「私ならこのように御社に貢献できる」ということなど、何もありませんでした。恥ずかしい限りですね。

起業ということを考えて初めて、「自分が社会や他者に何ができるのか」を真剣に考えました。そして手探りで自分の居場所を探し続け、現在に至っています。起業してからこれで丸６年が経過しました。素敵な顧客に囲まれて、とても楽しく過ごしています。これがキャリアを作るということなのだな、と実感しています。肩書きとか学歴ではなく、人・社会の中での自分の存在価値を感じてもらうこと、その積み重ねがキャリアなのかな、とも思います。

ワークショップで考えているのは、「ある一人の高校生に対して、何をしてあげられるか」というテーマです。学校生活、友人関係、塾、そして習い事の毎日の中、将来の夢もあります。近い将来の夢としては大学入学、その後はやりたい仕事。それらを実現していくために、今何をしてあげられるか、ということを考えてもらおうかなと思っています。近所の高校生に、見本になっていただくことについて了承は得ています。

これは実は、私が普段から受けている創業相談や経営相談とよく似ています（現在は月に100件くらい）。こちらは、本当に答えというものが見つからない仕事です。でも、相談を受けること自体が、嬉しくて仕方ありません。自分も一緒に相談者と考え、成長することができることも魅力の一つです。30歳を過ぎて、ようやくそういう境地に達することができました。

お題に関しては、本来家庭で行うべきこともきっと多いと思います。当然そうでしょう。しつけなど、学校に期待すべきでないことも学校に押しつけられている雰囲気も感じられます。でも、少し余裕があるならば、学校の先生も高校生の話を聴いてあげられるでしょう。就職や仕事を知ってもらうことだけがキャリア教育ではありません。生徒が、今後長きにわたる人生についての相談をぶつけてきたときに、その生徒に一筋の光でも見せてあげられたら、どんなに素晴らしいでしょうか。

仕事柄、事業内容の相談を受けるだけではなく、夢について語っていただくことも多く経験してきました。夢に近づくために、まず「今、何をするか」をアドバイスすることが創業相談の役割でもあります。それは決して「私が何かを手伝ってあげる」ことではありません（特に、「販売先を紹介してください」というお願いは、まず聞かないようにしています）。行動するのは、本人です。本人が経験しないと、価値がありません。小さな成功体験をいくつか経験して自信をつけて、積極的に行動するようになる。これは起業家でも高校生でも同じではないでしょうか。

開催までは少し時間があるので、これからまたじっくり計画を練っていきたいと思います。
